The Edward Jancarz Stadium has firmly established itself as one of the finest purpose-built track racing stadiums in the world since it first hosted the FIM Gorzow Speedway GP in 2011. Home to PGE Ekstraliga giants Stal Gorzow, the stadium regularly stages world-class racing and hosted an unforgettable FIM Gorzow Speedway GP in 2022, which saw club heroes Anders Thomsen, Martin Vaculik and Bartosz Zmarzlik pack the podium. Set in a city that lives and breathes speedway, there are few better settings for a weekend of Speedway GP action. Looking at the standings, if Bewley & Lambert don't want to sweat on relying on a pick for 2024 then they're are going to need to start not blowing it at the semi final stage:

I’ve gone for Tai. I know he’s not looking very good in GP’s, which is why I Sky Bet are offering 28/1. Big price for a 3 times WC. Holder’s a decent price at 16/1 - couldn’t bring myself to back Mr Arrogant.

He's the only one who seems to think that he has more titles in him. I never say never because I did that with Lindgren but he turned his fortunes around to be consistently at the top of the title race for a number of years now.

Most pointless headline of the weekend competition winner:
FRICKE FASTEST IN GORZOW QUALIFYING PRACTICE (24/06/2023)

Read that he was planning to ditch Sweden to ride in The UK next season. Stated travel options were becoming too difficult. Think it might be something to do with Swedish Teams in financial difficulties and riders not being paid. With so many clubs homeless next year no idea what he would be coming back to. PS - what a terrible GP again.

If Woffinden & the like had stuck with the UK helped to maintain or up the product then it might be in a better position, but now that they want to return there isn't going to be much to return to. It was another shocker GP wasn't it? I skimmed through it in about 20 mins after more excitement walking the dog a Ferry Meadows (thought that I heard a speedway bike when I was there on Friday?) If they did have a GP2 on Friday night following practice in the afternoon then it's no surprising that the main show riders were out with the washing, up the air fence losing yards to rivals, early doors and all too often.

I thought the Gorzow GP was dreadful, mostly gate and go which unfortunately seems to be the norm for GP meetings although the Prague one was the best for many a year. It certainly won’t be encouraging me to venture to a GP in the future and Cardiff can whistle before I venture down there again, complete rip off both hotels and tickets. As I have said before we should play the U.K. like the Danes and Poles, if you don’t ride in the domestic league you don’t ride in any of their meetings full stop including test matches, individual finals and championships and any WC GP qualifiers and world cups etc. To get a testimonial or Farewell riders would have to show serious commitment to domestic racing year upon year. We are far too soft with riders like Woffinden who has effectively stuck two fingers up to the U.K. and done no favours to GB speedway for years.

Ironic for sure. Although I don’t have a problem with riders chasing the money in a short career. UK could not offer, also under dreadful management. Poland took control and will continue for some time,(for now). Sweden are about done - just as UK are in a similar position. No idea what the future of British Speedway, too many tracks possibly closing.
