Saw today that Nigel Farage had his account at Coutts cancelled as he no longer met the financial requirements. When I started work with The Northern Assurance Company every one was allowed and encouraged to open an account with Coutts. Doubt that anyone met the financial requirements. My mother was Irish and a snob (read Angela's Ashes for an idea of an Irish snob) would have had multiple orgasms had she known. In the event I opened my account at Westminster Bank, now Nat West as it was more convenient to the office.

Never ever heard of Coutts and consider myself quite financially literate. If it involves Farage then there is usually more to it and he's making a big deal of it for a reason. It's like a "me too" banking situation. I don't think that we've got the real reason yet have we?

I just checked out their website and it's the standard #WokeMindVirus infected corporate entity. Financial institutions are particularly bad, as highlighted by Talkradio today regarding the BoE! |
