I find it inconceivable that doctors feel justified in going on strike!! Such is the welfare state when sections of the community think there is a bottomless pit of money and they should be exempt from any financial problems the rest are suffering from. As Mrs Thatcher pointed out Governments do not have any money , what money they have comes from taxes the rest of us pay. So those that feel entitled and that they should be insulated from problems everyone else face think it is right that others worse off than them should suffer to protect them. Train drivers a classic example

So those that feel entitled and that they should be insulated from problems everyone else face think it is right that others worse off than them should suffer to protect them. Train drivers a classic example Strike should be everyone's last resort but medical front line staff should be one of the professions where you don't get that option. When you make that as a job choice then you should do so in the knowledge that you don't take industrial action of any sort. Here's how to stop it: you can strike but your gold plated pension (which never gets mentioned, is worth a fortune) is frozen on the day that you strike and you then make your own provision going forward. I can assure you that that would focus the mind!
