Why is it that those that have children seem to think someone other than themselves should look after them? Wow. Not sure that I want to go there? It's a Pandora's box on so many fronts, both direct and indirect - what's brought that on Rodders? Only thing that I heard today which summed up this country: those currently entering the country illegally have kids whilst someone drags out their never ending asylum processing and then they can't be deported because they then have the "claim to a family life" ace up their sleeve - crackers if true

Perhaps I am out of step. I was always under the impression if you had children you wanted them and were prepared to undergo whatever financial sacrifice was required to look after them.
Seemingly this is no longer the case as those that have children now think the government (the rest of us) should provide the funds for the children to be looked after by others so the parents can go back to work.
Should we not now have a child bank where parents can get a child and be able to take it back when things became inconvenient.

I'll say no more than that because I know where you're coming from and I agree on this (not the bank of course which was tongue in cheek, hopefully!) and many more such issues. I'd guess that other countries do this much better and paid childcare in the UK is an overpriced money making racket, much like dentistry, adult social care and care homes to name but 3!
