Why have you created a thread for the spawn of Satan?

He's part of the SGP series and a former world champion so should be respected as such; there are others ahead of him on my list who have no chance of their own thread!

FIGHT TO THE FINISH
Danish star Nicki Pedersen is tipping this year’s World Championship race to go right to the wire.
The three-time champion dominated the sport and cruised to the gold medals in 2007 and 2008. But he is no stranger to fighting to the final round, after snatching the title from Jason Crump in the Norwegian SGP at Hamar in 2003.
Current world champion Tomasz Gollob was only allowed to relax in the closing stages of last year’s series and clinched the crown in the penultimate round at Terenzano.
But Pedersen is certain this season’s title race will be even tougher. The likes of Jaroslaw Hampel, Rune Holta, Chris Harris and Chris Holder all enjoyed huge breakthrough seasons in 2010.
Polish international Janusz Kolodziej also enjoyed the year of his life to earn a permanent wild card pick.
So Pedersen believes established contenders like him, Gollob, Crump and Hancock will not be given an easy ride.
He said: “You saw what Hampel did last year and you saw Chris Holder winning in Cardiff, so every position is up for grabs. Everybody looks fighting fit and healthy, so it will be probably the strongest line-up we have seen for some years.
“That suits me well because it won’t just be Gollob and me, or Jason and me fighting each other.
“There’s a very good handful that can do it, but we have to remember that it’s 11 rounds. It’s not four rounds, so you will have to have the consistency there. I think it’s going to be a very good year.”

Pedersen is bidding to win his home GP
THERE is not a lot that Nicki Pedersen hasn’t achieved during his glittering speedway career.
The Danish superstar has three world titles, six national titles and a multitude of other honours to his name, but there is still one glaring omission on his CV.
And tonight the Panthers captain will be bidding to put a tick in the empty box by roaring to glory in the Danish GP at the magnificent Parken Stadium in Copenhagen.
The best finish Pedersen has managed in his home event is a second spot behind Andreas Jonsson in 2007, but his Panthers team boss Trevor Swales is convinced he has the class to go one better tonight.
Swales said: “Nicki is more than capable of winning any GP as he has already proved this year.
“He has never won his home GP and I’m sure it would be really special for him to do it tonight. I’ll certainly be rooting for him.
“Everyone in this country remembers what an amazing feeling it was to see Chris Harris win at Cardiff in 2007 and I’m sure the Danes would treat a win for Nicki the same way.
“You can’t even begin to predict what is going to happen in the GPs these days though. It is as wide open as it has ever been and probably 90 per cent of the field could easily win a Grand Prix.
“It hasn’t been that exciting so far and the abandonment of the Swedish GP took the impetus out of the series, but hopefully tonight and the British Grand Prix in a fortnight will really kick it off.
“Once these two GPs are out of the way I think we’ll have more of an idea of who is going to challenge for the world title.”
Pedersen is one of only two Danes currently in the series - the other is Panthers asset Kenneth Bjerre.
Pedersen goes into action in Copenhagen tonight in fourth place in the overall standings. He is 17 points adrift of early-season leader Greg Hancock.
The veteran American triumphed in the Czech Republic last time out and leads the way by six points from fellow 40 year-old Tomasz Gollob.
Swales added: “Every year all the pundits think there is going to be a changing of the guard and that some of the younger riders are going to come through and dominate.
“That was the case again ahead of this season but you only have to look at the standings to see all the familiar faces up there.
“Hancock, Gollob and Nicki are filling three of the top four places and I wouldn’t be surprised if they stayed up there all year.”
The Danish fans will certainly be hungry for a home triumph tonight. Only three Danes have triumphed in the event’s 16 year history with Panthers legend Hans Andersen providing the last of those successes as a wildcard in 2006.

A hard day at the office in CopenhagenIt turned out to be a hard day at the office for Nicki when he competed in the Danish Speedway Grand Prix in Copenhagen on Saturday night. Lady Luck has rarely been with Nicki in the Danish capital, and 2011 was sadly not much different. There were positives though. Plenty of positives. The speed was there for all to see, Pedersen was up for it, and he was making good starts through out. After the first 20 heats it was clear that in spite of two much discussed exclusions, Nicki had secured a place in the semifinal by the skin of his teeth, mainly due to two perfect heatwins, which went down very well with the patriotic Danish crowd in Parken. He was left with the difficult gate 3 in the semifinal, and in spite of riding his socks off, this was where his night ended. Nicki finished the Danish GP with 7 points, in 7th place, which resulted in 6th overall in the standings. In a quote to Danish national paper "Ekstrabladet" Nicki admits that his chase for the 2011 crown looks like being over, although the goal is still to finish in the top 3. Next Grand Prix will be the British GP in Cardiff in 14 days. www.nickipedersen

Would you want to be Tom P Madsen
Danish star Nicki Pedersen hopes mechanic Tom P Madsen can become his new John Jorgensen after confirming JJ will not work for him in 2012. Despite Pedersen starting his 2011 campaign with a bang by winning the FIM European SGP in Leszno on April 30, he failed to find any consistency in the SGP series. Silver medals in Cardiff and Gorzow were not enough to save him from finishing 10th in the World Championship, and Pedersen needed a wild card to retain his spot in the competition for 2012. With John Jorgensen now busy helping his son break into the sport, on top of working for Danish speedway supplies company Ulvedal's, Pedersen felt he needed someone working for him full-time. Now Pedersen is determined to build a team for the future and is keen to give Madsen the time to help him assemble the crew he needs to put him back on top of the speedway world. He said: “You need to build up your team. Look at the guys in the top five. It’s all about the crew that have been with you for several years. “I’ve been trying to build Tom P Madsen up as the new John Jorgensen and it took a while for John to build things up. “Of course I expect a little bit more of Tom in the coming year, but we’ve had some meetings lately about how we could develop the team so that everyone can have a bit more confidence for the coming year.” sgp
