Semi Final 1:World No.2 Jaroslaw Hampel stormed to victory with 14 points in the first Golden Helmet semi-final at Krosno.Only runner-up Grzegorz Walasek, who bagged 12, denied Hampel a 15-point maximum as both reached the final in Torun on April 24. Former SGP regular Krzysztof Kasprzak, World Under-21 Championship silver medallist Maciej Janowski and Krzysztof Jablonski all notched 11 to join them. Jacek Rempala and Tomasz Chrzanowski also qualified on nine and Michal Mitko just made the cut on eight, but Dawid Stachyra had to make do with the reserve spot after scoring seven. sgp

Semi Final 2:Grand Prix star Janusz Kolodziej stormed into the final of the Polish Golden Helmet at Rawicz.The meeting was won by Gniezno man Michal Szczepaniak on 13 points and Leszno racer Kolodziej was second with 12. Both qualify for showpiece final at Torun on April 24. Lukasz Jankowski, Krzysztof Buczkowski and Piotr Swiderski followed them through with 10 apiece. Mateusz Szczepaniak and Piotr Protasiewicz claimed the last two spots after winning a run-off with Sebastian Ulamek after the trio tied on nine points. Ulamek earns a reserve place for the meeting. FIM European SGP wild card Damian Balinski was a high-profile casualty after being eliminated on eight points. Tomasz Gapinski and Speedway World Cup winner Adrian Miedzinski also lost out on seven. But Miedzinski has been handed a reprieve after the Torun promotion chose him as their wild card for the final. sgp
