Andersen’s injury is also a blow to Coventry’s chances in the Elite League Pairs at King’s Lynn next Wednesday.
Bees, winners of the event last season with Chris Harris and Krzysztof Kasprzak, were set to be amongst the favourites once again with Andersen due to team up with in-form skipper Edward Kennett.
Ryan Fisher has taken the call to join Kennett, and he at least does have the benefit of track experience as he made regular visits to the Norfolk Arena with Edinburgh whilst racing in the Premier League over the past three seasons.

Latest news from the BSF is that Sundstrom has replaced Pedersen? Any info rupert? Just checked Panthers website which we're told has up to date information and it still says that Pedersen is riding so we have to assume that that is accurate www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.1215.2

DARCY'S PAIRS CALL-UP to the who's interested in riding EL mixed doubles World Under-21 champion Darcy Ward will partner Poole team mate Chris Holder in the Elite League Best Pairs at King’s Lynn on Wednesday night. The 18-year-old, who top-scored with 13 in his side’s 55-39 win over Eastbourne on Sunday, takes the place of out-of-form skipper Davey Watt. The Australian national team captain managed just five against the Eagles and opted to step aside for his fellow countryman. Ward started his European career at the Norfolk Arena with Boston in the old British Conference League in 2008. He then won the Premier League, Knockout Cup and Premier Trophy with King’s Lynn in 2009, before Poole bought him for an undisclosed club record fee. Holder and Ward are close friends and few riders will have a better understanding on the track in a competition which rewards team riding over individual ambition. Co-promoter Matt Ford paid tribute to Watt for making the selfless decision to let his younger team mates fight for the first Elite League honour of the season. He said: “Davey is still trying to get his setups right and has been investing heavily in doing so. “But right now he feels it is in the best interests of the club for him to step aside in the Pairs and let in-form Darcy take his place. “Of course I support that view but, once again, it is a fine example of Davey looking at the team’s interests above his own.” Ward and Holder will be strong contenders for the title and have been drawn into the kinder group B alongside Coventry, Lakeside, Belle Vue and Eastbourne. There is no doubt group A will be the toughest to break out of, although King’s Lynn duo Kenneth Bjerre and Niels-Kristian Iversen will fancy their chances. Peterborough pair Nicki Pedersen and Troy Batchelor are both former King’s Lynn riders and are also hotly-tipped to progress, along with Wolves duo Freddie Lindgren and Tai Woffinden. Swindon and Birmingham start as outsiders. The top two teams in each group progress in the semi-finals with the winners going on to fight for top spot on the rostrum. PROVISIONAL LINE-UP: GROUP A: Wolverhampton (Fredrik Lindgren/Tai Woffinden), Peterborough (Troy Batchelor/Nicki Pedersen), Birmingham (Krzysztof Kasprzak/Daniel King), King’s Lynn (Kenneth Bjerre/Niels-Kristian Iversen), Swindon (Scott Nicholls/Nicolai Klindt). GROUP B: Coventry (TBC/Edward Kennett), Lakeside (Adam Shields/Lee Richardson), Belle Vue (Chris Harris/Rory Schlein), Eastbourne (Bjarne Pedersen/Joonas Kylmakorpi), Poole (Chris Holder, Darcy Ward). sgp

I see Danny King is now hurt so thats another rider missing, just want Richardsons van to suffer its usual Norfolk breakdown and Shields to still be unfit after his crash on Good Friday and it will be business as usual.
Stop Press - Woffinden out with a broken collarbone
Watch it on sky you know it makes sense
