Bring on Spain, Portugal and France ;D Sir Alex would be pleased because that would mean that there would be no point in Rooney going because England wouldn't have a 4th game

Danny Baker @prodnosePoor old Harry. Thought he got off but now it looks like he'll get four years community service. #2014WorldCupAhoy If Harry Redknap thinks he has got away with having one over on the Inland Revenue, he better think again. This body are a law unto themselves with very little recourse for complaints and a reputation for being downright evil if they put their mind to it. Harrys going to endure the revenue on his back for the rest of his life and I sincerly hope he learns how to read and write or he could be revisiting this nightmare again. Proof if ever one needed it that Juries are well past their sell by date.

Hard to disagree with that Dick, the greatest moment in jury history must have been the time that OJ Simpson fought with his glove and they believed it was too small ;D

Hard to disagree with that Dick, the greatest moment in jury history must have been the time that OJ Simpson fought with his glove and they believed it was too small ;D The trouble is that most jurors are inexperienced and naive and very clever barristers can have them over fairly easily, of course after 2 weeks some of the jurors are getting wise to the game and then its time for their jury service to end. I dare say a few of those jurors truly believed he couldnt read or write but I bet he knows his way round a 6 million contract should one appear in the future

If he does get the England job then they'll publish their findings prior to a crucial match or tournament

The difference this time is that expectations are low so anything is a bonus

So far so good With a new manager and a patched up side England are stlii in there fighting. Not sparkling football by any means but no worse than the Golden Generation who won bugger all and would have folded last night at 1-2 like a pack of cards. Roy Hodgson is outwardly boring but clearly not out of his depth in international football, perhaps the FA got something right for a change? Now for the next test, we ONLY have to draw against the hosts Ukraine, easy peasy Monday 11 June 2012 - FRA 1 v ENG 1 (Donetsk) Friday 15 June 2012 - SWE 2 v ENG 3 (Kyiv) Tuesday 19 June 2012 #23: ENG v UKR, 20.45CET, Donetsk but before that:Monday 18 June 2012 #21: CRO v ESP, 20.45CET, Gdansk Group DTeams P W D L F A +/- Pts France 2 1 1 0 3 1 2 4 England 2 1 1 0 4 3 1 4 Ukraine 2 1 0 1 2 3 -1 3 Sweden 2 0 0 2 3 5 -2 0 Group CTeams P W D L F A +/- Pts Spain 2 1 1 0 5 1 4 4 Croatia 2 1 1 0 4 2 2 4 Italy 2 0 2 0 2 2 0 2 Ireland 2 0 0 2 1 7 -6 0 Saturday 23 June 2012 #27: 1C v 2D, 20.45CET, Donetsk Sunday 24 June 2012 #28: 1D v 2C, 20.45CET, Kyiv

Germany produced a dominant display to sweep past a limited Greece side and set up a possible Euro 2012 semi-final with England.

With low to no expectations at the start of the tournament, suddenly England expects which is when it traditionally goes pear shaped However, the result of this match will decide what I'm doing (weather permitting) next Thursday

After yet another piss poor group match for Young and a paper comment of giving the ball away too much, I couldn't be happier to see that Young was injured and doubtful for the quarter. However, he recovered and Hodgson managed to pick him yet again. But worse than that, he stayed on for 120 mins and proceeded to be instrumental in England exiting Euro 2012. Well done Roy, it's a fine line between hero and zero. Also, how rubbish was Rooney and did anyone spoy that Walcott was on the pitch

But, I like Woy's style of management and expect to win the World Cup in 2014. Sorry, I meant 3014.

My assessment:
Hart, Cole, Johnson, Terry, Lescot and Gerrard were top dogs.
Parker, Carroll and Oxlade-Chamberlain, Welbeck were decent.
Milner, Young, Rooney and Walcott were rubbish.

Well done Roy, it's a fine line between hero and zero. Also, how rubbish was Rooney and did anyone spot that Walcott was on the pitch Dunno about practicing penalties we would have been better to practice at crosses and not giving the ball away. But, I like Woy's style of management and expect to win the World Cup in 2014. Sorry, I meant 3014. Keegan said in Euro 2000 that we must retain the ball and stop giving it to the opponents and 10 years on we're saying the same. The Premiership doesn't want pretty football and we haven't got the players to take it to the opposition, at the moment anyway. Just heard on Talksport that you can't play with two wingers these days and need to flood the midfield more. I'd tend to agree. Italy had one man running the show and he had all the time in the world. We didn't put any pressure on the man with the ball but as soon as Rooney got it they put 5 men round him. We need to play on the front foot and not worry so much about the opposition. We have a decent goalkeeper and the defence is usually sound so let's play in their half. Whether Hodgson has that mentality to do that or not, time will tell. What he saw in Ashley Young I don't know but it reminds me of Graham Taylor continually picking Des Walker. Walker conceded a penalty at Wembley in the 2-2 v the Dutch and then Taylor picked him for the Poland/Norway disaster trip before dropping him in Rotterdam: too late and the old tin tac was the result. The golden rule Roy, don't stick with dead wood!

Milner was ok and did a job but is unlikely to win you a match. Young was poor, very lightweight and England's Kenneth Bjerre. England played better without Rooney, nuff said. Didn't know that Walcott was on the pitch last night, he needs to make things happen rather than waiting for it. Roll on Brazil in 2014 when we can blame the heat
