I see BV have completed with Ostergaard, Vissing and McGowan.
I do hope Gjedde isnt unavailable to often because they could struggle to win at home without him let alone on the road.

BELLE Vue boss David Gordon has sent out a strong signal that team manager Jim Lynch has an extended future with the Autogate Aces. Lynch, who has an agreement for the upcoming season, made a surprise pitch for it to be extended to two years at Monday’s packed Fan Forum at the stadium. He is keen to lead the team into the new stadium and wants it to include a much larger element of contracted Belle Vue riders. At the moment, only Charlie Gjedde and Patrick Hougaard are Aces riders although negotiations have been opened to sign new captain Rory Schlein on a permanent deal from Coventry. Lynch will be looking to help to make youngsters Linus Eklof and Josh Grajczonek into assets of the future. He said: “I want to be the manager for two years so I can take the team into the new stadium and try to make Eklof and Grajczonek into full Belle Vue riders. I am delighted to have the pair of them in the team.” Gordon said: “I believe that not only will Jim be here for the opening of the 2013 season but for much longer than that. He will be successful and that’s what we’ve got to address because, for one reason or another, it hasn’t happened since we took over. Jim can deliver. www.bellevueaces.co

JIM Lynch has resigned as Belle Vue’s team manager following Monday’s home defeat by Poole. Lynch said: “After the season we’ve had, and considering Monday night in particular, someone had to fall on their sword and it had to be me. “Things that happened on Monday, with the track problems and the attitude of some riders, were unacceptable from Belle Vue’s point of view and from the fans’ point of view. All the fun has gone out of the job.” bvweb Come back Jim

One assumes that the new stadium is out then as surely Lynch would have hung around Who's going to fall on their sword if we lose to Poole and fail to make the play-offs

Someone touched a nerve
BELLE Vue boss David Gordon has issued a public vote of thanks to season ticket holders who have waived the offer of a price reduction next year to compensate for the cancellation of the Wolverhampton and Coventry matches. The ravages of the wet weather meant it was not possible to ride the meetings before the season finished at the end of October. The Aces issued a statement saying season ticket holders would be compensated but they have been gratified by several messages refusing the offer. Gordon said: “We received a fair number of notes of support from season ticket holders saying they didn’t want the compensation. To be honest they have given us a real boost after such a difficult season and it is much appreciated.” One such letter from Llandudno based season ticket holder Brian Schofield said: “I have just read the recent official web site article regards the cancellation of the two league matches. Quite rightly you have offered compensation to all season ticket holders and you should be applauded for this. “As far as I am concerned I do not wish to receive any compensation. Please take this as a significant gesture of thanks on my part, even though the amount that it will save you is not significant monetarily. “Belle Vue speedway, in particular, and speedway generally have given me great pleasure over the last 50 years. “I cannot thank you both enough for all the hard work in the last six years regards the development of the new stadium... and the others involved behind the scenes. “The last few years re Belle Vue speedway have been very hard for you both and I remain a loyal Belle Vue fan. These times, hopefully, will pale in to insignificance in comparison to Belle Vue's rich and long history. “It is so sad to see Belle Vue at such a low ebb. Fans forget that the track, was a good little track serving up good racing . I have plenty of VHS tapes proving this, the bad weather has ruined the 2012 season. “Hopefully, the news that we are all waiting for will soon be public and the knockers who hide behind their computer pen names can crawl back into their computer and find someone else to berate.I will be having a season ticket next year.”Long distance season ticket holder Alex Broadhurst, who lives in Chingford, Essex, has also written to Gordon saying: "I would like to add my name to those who have forfeited their season ticket compensation." www.bellevueaces

BELLE Vue chief David Gordon has reminded critics of the club’s record for signing top riders as they plan for their 2013 campaign. And he also revealed the extra difficulty faced by Monday night tracks, like the Aces, in signing riders because they have pressure from their Polish and Swedish clubs not to come into Britain. Gordon will sit down with Operations Director Chris Morton and team manager Jason Attwood, who is ‘over the moon’ to have been asked to continue the job, to discuss team building. Gordon said: “Building a new team after a difficult year financially is nothing new for us, it’s a problem we’ve had for the last few seasons. “The problem has been compounded this year by the weather making the financial side of the club even more difficult. “But our meeting to look at how we will formulate the 2013 team will be no different from the previous years. “We’ll see what points limit is set at the annual meeting and we’ll look at who is available. Every year we’ve started the season practically on the points limit, the same as everybody else. But, for one reason or another, teams haven’t worked out as we’d hoped. “We cannot really comment on the team for next year until after the annual meeting. Our thoughts have to remain very confidential. “We will set out to have a successful team and we always have done. We have signed riders like Jason Crump, Hans Andersen, Chris Harris, Peter Karlsson, Krzysztof Kasprzak and Rory Schlein in the past. We do spend money on teams and have never missed out on a rider because of the cost. Never. “People who have said we don’t spend money on teams frankly don’t have a clue what they are talking about. Not a clue.” He added: “One of the special problems for us in building a team is the fact that we are a Monday night track. We know that riders are under pressure from their clubs in Poland and Sweden because they don’t want them getting fatigued by coming here on a Monday and riding three nights in a row.“It’s something we’ve had to live with because we have to ride on a Monday but that situation will change dramatically in the new stadium when we will be able to ride on a Friday night. “It’s more difficult to attract riders to a Monday night track and it’s also difficult to attract families when children are at school the next morning.” The Aces will be in the Elite League next year and Gordon said there has never been any thought of anything else.He explained: “I know there has been some crazy speculation about what we will do next year but we will be running in the Elite League. We are determined to do that and anything else isn’t a consideration. It’s unrealistic. “The new stadium will be built as the National Speedway Stadium for World class and Elite League racing and that’s what we will be doing. Racing in the Elite League. Anything else wouldn’t work.” www.bellevueaces

Looks like it's Schlein who touched a nerve
After a disastrous season for the club, Schlein admits he is seeking a move for next term. He told his official website: “I feel it is right to clear up many rumours regarding my future as a Belle Vue rider. Unfortunately I will not be returning to the Aces for the 2013 season. "I would like to assure people I am not running away because things have got tough, but simply because I haven't received the necessary assurances that changes would be happening to ensure the club would move on from the failures of last season.

BELLE Vue have revealed that they have held talks with three-times World champion Jason Crump about returning as the club’s No 1 next season. The Aussie superstar, who had three spells with the Aces during his superb career, announced late last season that he was retiring from the World championship Grand Prix. In view of this the Aces management approached him to see if he wanted to fit a return to British racing into his schedule. However, Crump has just announced his retirement completely from speedway because of injuries which require attention this year. He said this week in an interview in the Speedway Star: “With my long association with Belle Vue they have been in touch with me. But I knew I had a problem.” Aces chief David Gordon said: “I was in touch with Jason a couple of times and Chris Morton, our Operations Director, once. We would have loved to have brought him back next season but it wasn’t to be. “We have shown in the past that we are not afraid to bring in top riders and this shows that is still the case. “Obviously we have to keep our negotiations with riders confidential as a rule. But, with Jason retiring and saying we had spoken to him, we can confirm that we had tried to bring him back.” Morton said: “Jason is one of several top riders we have been talking to. We expect to name new signings shortly.” The Aces will open their home campaign on Good Friday against Wolverhampton on Friday, March 29 (1pm). The Press and Practice day will be the previous Monday, March 25. This is a private session for the riders but, as ever, supporters who will be allowed in to watch. It will be followed in the evening by a Meet the Riders’ evening with a Hot Pot supper. Season tickets are on sale with a discount of five per cent on applications made by the end of December. In view of the office being closed over the holiday period, the discount will be allowed on applications made by January 15. Prices include a £3 programme and are for a minimum of 15 meetings including the play-offs but not the final. Adult £265, December discount £13.25, December price £251.75 Concession £175, discount £8.75, price £166.25 Child £85, discount £4.25, price £80.75 www.bellevueaces 22/12/12

Thought that he agreed that last year It's still looking crap It's quite amazing that a club with that history and a city of that size can't provide a decent circuit and team. Everyone else should be trying to match Belle Vue instead of fearing their visit as one of the worst of the season
