“There is an extraordinary meeting on November 2 where the Elite League promoters will discuss how we can operate next year and not lose money." the argus
This is where the real decisions are made before they are ratified at the AGM Not lose money during normal times is virtually impossibe but during the likely difficult years ahead I think they'll need David Blaine onside.

As for Season Tickets, Wolves have there's on sale.

Makes you wonder how 2 months down the line everything is still as clear as mud: the Elite League is on life support before a wheel is turned in the 2011 season and the reigning champions and the side they defeated on their way to the title are on the outside looking in allegedly

the Elite League is on life support before a wheel is turned in the 2011 season Keep saying it often enough etc. etc. I think life support is optimistic really so I'm actually talking it up Me old mate Bratters said that the EL was dying on its feet even before this winter's shenanigans so God knows what he thinks of the dogs dinner his Brummie mob are going in to And with people watching the pennies and unemployment likely to increase to a 17-year high of 2.7 million in 2011 according to The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), those owners and promoters are going to have a problem selling that dross product. I hope they've got deep deep deep pockets You've got to admit, this looks crap: I do like this post from the Lynn forum: "What a shambles everything has become, perhaps we could go back into the Premier and get all our riders back, Perhaps we could all go back to square one and start again. How can we expect any of the media to take speedway seriously when things like this happen. Perhaps we can get a team of under 5s to run things. i'm sure they could make a better job of it." ;D

nigel pearson has written in birmingham's sunday mercury... talks are set to continue this week to resolve the dispute between the BSPA and the 2 clubs who walked out of the AGM, coventry and peterborough GRAHAM Drury has admitted the future of Speedway’s Elite League is on the line in 2011. And the Birmingham boss believes a successful season for both the Brummies and King’s Lynn, who have been promoted from the Premier League, is important for the stability of the top flight. Talks are set to continue this week in a bid to resolve the dispute between the British Speedway Promoters’ Association and the two clubs who walked out of the AGM, Coventry and Peterborough. And Drury, who is preparing to lead a team into Elite League action for the first time in his career, insists 2011 is a massive year. “If we make this a success, along with King’s Lynn, it will be a good thing for the sport in general,” he said. “The response from our fans has been very positive and if we can be successful it will give other Premier League clubs the encouragement to have a go at the Elite League. “There are a couple that spring to mind immediately and they would do themselves justice at this level.” Drury and club owner Tony Mole will address Brummies fans for the first time since their elevation with a forum in the Grandstand at Perry Barr on Thursday (8pm). “I think we’re all just about getting over the shock of moving into the Elite League,” said Drury. “I’m sure the fans will have a lot of questions for both Tony and myself and, as always, we will be open and honest with them.” www.sundaymercury.net/Jan 2 2011 by Nigel Pearson

Note TALKS no mention of EGM. Has someone been telling porkies? Pearson is included in my ever growing list of incompetents who are involved with the running of speedway! Always been on my list. Just risen up the ranks quicker than expected! He is speedway's Gareth Keenan A meeting's a meeting with this lot anyway. Pre-meeting, AGM, EGM is just like EL, it means nothing.
