born 30 May 1958 Swedish pop singer-songwriter and pianist Marie Fredriksson, with Swedish group Roxette, who had the 1990 US No.1 & UK No.3 single 'It Must Have Been Love'. Roxette have sold an estimated 75 million records worldwide. Fredriksson died on 9 December 2019, aged 61 following a 17-year long battle with cancer.

The backing is the choral version of 'Everybody's Free (To Feel Good)', a 1991 song by Rozalla, used in the film William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet.

born 8 Jun 1965 Rob Pilatus, singer from German R&B duo Milli Vanilli, who had the 1989 US No.1 & UK No.2 single 'Girl I'm Gonna Miss You'. Their success quickly turned to infamy when they confessed that they did not sing any of the vocals heard on their hits. Consequently, the duo was stripped of their Grammy Award for Best New Artist. He died of a drug and alcohol overdose on April 2nd 1998.

27 Jun 2002 One day before the scheduled first show of The Who's 2002 US tour, bass player John Entwistle, died aged 57 in his hotel room at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Entwistle had gone to bed that night with a stripper, who woke at 10am to find Entwistle cold and unresponsive. The Las Vegas medical examiner determined that death was due to a heart attack induced by an undetermined amount of cocaine.
- The Concert for New York City was a benefit concert, featuring many famous musicians, that took place on October 20, 2001 at Madison Square Garden in New York City in response to the September 11 attacks. The Who set was the equal of Queen at Live Aid in 1985 with Entwistle's Bass mesmerising. Never thought at the time that he wouldn't see next October.
