King’s Lynn have unveiled their trump card for 2012 after announcing the capture of World Under-21 champion Maciej Janowski. The FIM Rookie of the Year joins a rock-solid Stars side on a seemingly cheap 6.06 average and has the potential to emerge as one of the Elite League’s big hitters. Team manager Rob Lyon believes the Polish international holds the key to Stars’ title chances next season. He said: “To be successful we need a rider who will improve their average by two or three points. With Magic joining us on a ridiculously low average of 6.06, I believe he will be the rider to achieve that. “On his last visit to King's Lynn, he beat both Kenneth (Bjerre) and Niels-Kristian Iversen and scored an incredible 17 out of 18 points, so I see no reason why he can't continue that sort of form." Stars promoter Jonathan Chapman believes Janowski, who is an established heat leader in Poland and Sweden, is yet to hit his true potential in the UK. He said: “The results in Poland and the rest of Europe show just how good he really is. "I am extremely excited he is joining us and would like to thank Greg Hancock and Morgan Hughes for all their help." Magic teams up with Danish racers Iversen and Mads Korneliussen, who return after helping the Stars reach the play-off semi-finals this term. Swedish international Daniel Nermark joins the Norfolk outfit from Birmingham and German prospect Kevin Wolbert completes a promising top five. Former British SGP wild card David Howe shares a reserve berth with Berwick racer Kozza Smith, while Czech international Filip Sitera and Denmark’s Michael Palm Toft double up in the other spot. Australian star Dakota North is set to join the Stars in April as a doubling-up rider in a move which will see Sitera drop to No.8. sgp

If you haven't seen the other 500 posts from the tedious Kings Lynn fans then here's something you may not be aware of (edited c&p from the BSF)
"Nice comment from Cameron Woodward. He said, that he thinks that Kings Lynn have the best prepared track in the World."

A friend of mine went last night and couldnt make his mind up if Eastbourne was that bad or Lynn were much better than he originally thought but he did say the Stars were very quick out of the traps and had their bikes set up perfectly.
He also said the racing was garbage with only one pass all night.

2 Points deducted for using an illegal Cory Gathercole in the draw at Swindon. Whoops, naughty Chapmans THE Speedway Control Bureau have issued the following statement regarding the Swindon v King’s Lynn Elite League match that was staged on Thursday July 19.Elite League: SWINDON v KINGS LYNN: Thursday 19th July 2012At this Meeting Kings Lynn contravened The Speedway Regulations by using Cory Gathercole as a Guest to replace the Doubling-Up position occupied by David Howe & Ulrich Ostergaard. Kings Lynn were only entitled to use a PL Rider whose Match Average was 6.00 or less. Cory Gathercole, with a PL MA was 6.50 was therefore not eligible and on the night he scored 2 (+1) points and the Meeting ended as a 45 – 45 draw with Swindon gaining 1 Match Point and Kings Lynn 2 Match points. Accordingly as permitted by SR 15.10.1 the Meeting Result is now revised by deducting Gathercole’s points and is therefore: SWINDON 45 KINGS LYNN 43 The effect is that Swindon have 2 Match Points and Kings Lynn 1 Match Point. bspa Bureau always seems so poncy and out of place, it's the equivalent of a manicured centre green.

I loved the Chapmans reply
We believe that decisions like this are clearly not in the best interest of the sport, and we can only worry about the future of speedway in Great Britain as a result

Four leagues points at Belle Vue on Monday night puts them right back in with a chance of the play off's. If they take anything away from Alwalton on Thursday we're in trouble.

Four leagues points at Belle Vue on Monday night puts them right back in with a chance of the play off's. If they take anything away from Alwalton on Thursday we're in trouble. Lets put it into proper context shall we Lynn have won twice away from Saddlebow this year both times at Belle Vue, we are yet to ride at Belle Vue this year.
