Well it took a while:
King's Lynn Stars manager Rob Lyon has threatened to quit following their 50-43 Elite League League defeat at Peterborough Panthers. (bbc.co.uk/sport/speedway 24/8/12)
Lyon was critical of the East of England showground track after a number of crashes during Thursday's meeting.
"I just didn't enjoy it and if you're not enjoying something, it's time to get out," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.
"I think my time has probably come. If speedway is going to continue like that, I don't want to be a part of it."
Panthers skipper Kenneth Bjerre suffered a badly broken right leg during the opening heat of the meeting and Kings Lynn's Danish rider Ulrich Ostergaard had to retire with a finger injury suffered in one of a number of crashes.
However, Peterborough co-promoter Trevor Swales dismissed Lyon's claim that the track was unsafe.
"I'll fully accept that the track wasn't as good as in our previous meeting, but I certainly refute the suggestion that it was dangerous, and I really don't see that any of the accidents were down to the track," he told the club's website.
"It was grippy, but we do prepare a grippy track because our riders don't want it slick, and that's up to us as the home team."
Swales said Bjerre had been caught up in a "domino effect" as riders rounded the first bend.
"With Ulrich Ostergaard, he came down on his own and by his own admission that was because his chain came off, so the track couldn't be blamed for that," he added.
King’s Lynn Stars co-promoter Rob Lyon is to take a step back from his daily involvement with the club. (lynnnews 26/7/17)
Lyon, the former team manager and title-winner, took on a bigger role with the Stars during the winter – but it hasn’t worked out as he had hoped due to increasing business and personal projects.
He insists he’s not turning his back on the club he has served so well down the years but can no longer give the time it needs.
Said Lyon: “I’ve had to be honest with Buster (Keith Chapman, owner, pictured right with Lyon) and say it’s not worked out as I had hoped.
“I must stress this has nothing to do with the difficult events of the last fortnight, this has been a situation which has developed over a number of weeks.
“I just haven’t been able to give it the time thae role needs and I need to take a step back. I also felt I needed to say something because a lot of people have been asking why I haven’t been in line to step in for Dale Allitt as manager since he was taken ill.
“I’m always there for the club on the end of the phone and very happy to give my opinion on things. I will do all I can.
“I have lots of friends at King’s Lynn and I look forward to seeing them again soon.”
Keith Chapman said: “I fully understand Rob’s reasons and appreciate his honesty.
“I’m sure it’s not the end of his time with the club and we are sure to see him again very soon.”

The sport in this country appears to lurch from one disaster to another with the latest being the Fours debacle, seems to be a lot of pressure on Chapman & Godfrey at the moment and I wouldn't be surprised if something gives soon.

Well it's all kicking off at 6 fingers Arena and isn't quite the amicable split this news item would suggest. Not surprising given those involved:
KING’S Lynn have announced wholesale changes as they head into the final stages of the season.
The Stars have axed Australian duo Chris Holder and Troy Batchelor, and replaced them with former Grand Prix rider Tomas H Jonasson of Sweden, and Michael Palm Toft who recently impressed in a guest appearance.
A re-structure of the side at reserve now sees Josh Auty included alongside Nicklas Porsing, although the latter is currently ruled out after a crash in Poland on Sunday.
Promoter Keith Chapman said: “I felt our season was heading towards a brick wall and had to do something.
“I would like to place on record my thanks to Chris Holder and Troy Batchelor for riding for the club and I’m sad it hasn’t worked out with them this season.
“Having said that, I feel we now have an environment within the King’s Lynn team where everyone has the right attitude and they want to get out there and do their best for the club.”

Not surprised by Batchelor being tagged with attitude. He has been nothing else since we got involved with him and was trouble for most of the journey.
Holder seems to have gone off the rails since Ward's devastating crash. Or perhaps Ward's misdemeanours masked that Holder wasn't much better in some respects? And then he got dumped by his no.1 love, Poole, before moving to Norfolk. Jeez, what a location and culture clash, that'd break most people. As with most Poole exports though it was always going to end in tears, and it has.

Batchelor put two fingers up to Buster on the night and then rode the next night as a guest when he was supposedly injured, that's not just extracting the urine that's rubbing his nose in it. I am not surprised at Busters actions at all. As others have said no one comes out of this mess with any credit.

Holder was initially hit with a 28-day ban and then sacked by Stars owner Keith Chapman. Troy Batchelor was also axed, but didn’t face any disciplinary action after withdrawing from the Pirates fixture on medical grounds. Chapman has questioned the Aussies’ attitude in a number of statements since the club’s farcical night. But Holder says he has no regrets about confronting the BSPA chairman over what he felt was an unfit track, which required extensive work after heat nine before the meeting could be completed. Reflecting on the rumpus, he said: “It’s so one-sided it’s unreal. No-one has mentioned the tonnes of material he put on the track the day before without testing it. It was a recipe for disaster. “We knew when we walked the track that it was going to be terrible, but everyone walks on eggshells around him (Chapman) and everyone is scared about saying something to him. People just get on with it and I am sick of that attitude. “We’re the ones who are racing and if we get injured, they’re looking at replacing you before you get carted out of the stadium in an ambulance. They don’t really care. “Enough was enough. I knew it would probably cause some trouble, but it’s funny – the next week when the weather was bad, he cancelled the meeting straight away (against Rye House on July 19). He didn’t want to risk riders not dealing with tricky conditions. “It worked then, didn’t it? They didn’t race on a poor track. If I didn’t say something that night, they would have probably raced the next Wednesday. But he was too scared to run the meeting because he knew the track wouldn’t be good enough. And he didn’t run it.” Holder says he didn’t just take a stand for his own benefit. He added: “I remember when I first started. When you’re not an established rider, your voice doesn’t get heard. I remember when we raced bad tracks and I’d just get on with it and do my best. “But when a top, established guy would say something, you’d think ‘thank God someone said something. Now something is going to happen.’ Obviously he (Chapman) has a problem with listening to people, but that’s his deal.” Holder says he’ll have more to add on the incident in due course, but plans to focus his energies on regaining top speed in the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series, Polish Ekstraliga and Swedish Elitserien. He said: “I’ll come out with something. At the moment, I am trying to race in the Grand Prix, Poland and Sweden. There’s a lot of pressure on. To be honest, I don’t have the time to be dealing with that garbage. It’s total garbage and it’s so one-sided it’s unreal.”SGP 17/8/17

Premiership! I wouldn't cross the road to watch this cack: KING'S LYNN 34: Robert Lambert 11+1, Josh Auty 9+1, Thomas Jorgensen 5+1, Kai Huckenbeck 4, Nicklas Porsing 3, Tomas H Jonasson 2, Michael Palm Toft R/R. WOLVERHAMPTON 58: Jacob Thorssell 16+1, Rory Schlein 12+2, Freddie Lindgren 12, Kyle Howarth 9+1, Mark Riss 5+3, Nathan Greaves 4, Sam Masters R/R. Another disater at Saddlebow Road delivered by the man in charge of British Speedway. The direction of travel continued in 2010 is really biting them in the arse now. From Twitter @klstarsupdates "This is dam joke, hang buster from the floodlights to give us something to cheer about #shambles" "Nice one. What about all the points gifted to Wolves? Possibly shafting teams that can be arsed." "Absolutely disgraceful stuff. Feel for the fans as the man at the top is taking the utter piss out them" "Buster on mic. Send tickets back to the club to claim £5 back on tonight's admission" - "Buster should give 20 quid back for watching that shit or maybe 25"

A complete farce but to be fair not entirely Busters fault Oh really He would have known about Palm Toft so clearly knew they started with just 6 riders ( so the PR was a lie) He does the track, not for the first time people have raised concerns about it. He attempted (with others) to try and get the second match postponed (against the rules) Exactly what cannot be blamed on Buster?

KING’S Lynn are planning team announcements in the New Year – as part of a series of new initiatives at the Adrian Flux Arena next season. The Stars are seeking to rebuild from a troubled 2017 campaign in which they finished two points off the foot of the SGB Premiership table, but promoter Keith Chapman says the club now has renewed energy for the future. Chapman said: “We know that the committed fans will be observing the team announcements of our competitors and we do want to assure the King’s Lynn Stars fans that we too are well-placed with our options for 2018. “You will see in January that the rider selection for 2018 is based on a much wider criteria than just their points average and personality.

But he made no secret of the fact he wanted to see things improve at the club after their disastrous 2017 season, which saw them finish second from bottom of the SGB Premiership table. Stars’ fortunes nose-dived after they axed Chris Holder and Troy Batchelor following a dispute over track conditions in their loss at home to Poole in July. Lambert was widely expected to be part of their 2018 plans, as well as double up in the SGB Championship. But has said: “Looking at the moment that I won't be racing in the UK in 2018.” It’s unclear if Lambert has attempted to leave King’s Lynn on loan, but Stars would have first call on his services as a club asset. Lambert will race in the Polish First Division as well in the Swedish Elitserien. SGP

It's all a bit up in the air at the moment because she apparently sought the advice of Mr Godfrey who is denying that such a conversation took place. Sounds like this could go to the SCB (STARTLINE CONTROL BUREAU) for a ruling

KING’S Lynn have suffered a blow with the news that Danish star Niels-Kristian Iversen is unable to race for the club in the immediate future.
Iversen has been subject to a recall from the Polish Federation (PZM) which precludes him from appearing in the Premiership under the regulations governing how many other leagues a rider can participate in.
Stars co-promoter Dale Allitt said: “Obviously we’re disappointed with the news and we’re looking at our options, although it has to be said that those are few at the moment.
“It’s a tough one for us at the moment, but we do believe and understand that this rule will be changed for next year, which will certainly help British Speedway.
“It has been suggested to us that Niels could potentially return when his Polish fixtures end, which could be towards the end of July.
“We have a facility to use a guest or rider replacement whilst we assess other options, but those are slim due to the number of riders who are already racing in three leagues at this particular time, or the visa situation which is currently taking six to eight weeks.”
Meanwhile, the Stars are currently finalising arrangements with a rider to come in as an injury replacement in the Rising Star berth for Jack Thomas, and expect to make an announcement on that ahead of next Thursday’s home clash with Sheffield.

Poland’s dictators rule, basically not riding in the UK. Was supposed to be 2 countries only (as I thought) but we have Riders riding in Poland, Sweden and Denmark. My maths is not the best but I’m sure that’s 3. Kildemand injured before a ride at KL so recruit NKI for short term cover. Then announce he’s staying for the season. Now his Polish team have woke up and said he can’t ride in the UK. It’s either a rule or not. Or coincidental that the place he was sharing with Mr Selfish has just finished his money making testimonial.

Should please matey who gets excited about early call offs. Unless he's lost interest as well like many others?
KING’S Lynn have taken an early decision to postpone Monday’s (22/8/22) scheduled Premiership fixture with Belle Vue.
This is due to the forecast weather conditions for Monday evening, with all sources indicating heavy rain moving through the area in the late afternoon and early evening.
We have therefore made an early call in order to minimise inconvenience for all parties.
A new date will be advised when agreed.

Looking at the BSF comments though, there must have been two meetings at Monmore & my Skybox recorded the runt As I said on the BSF, it was interesting only because it was close, the racing was typical Monmore non existent, mostly first to the corners wins. Steve WORRALL summed it up pretty well, he trapped in heat 1 and won by the proverbial, didn’t gate in any of his next three and collected just one more point. Masters clearly wasn’t fit but Adams the tactical genius decided to give him 5 rides.
