Well the under achievers from along the A47 completed the job at Wimborne Road this evening with Kenny B leading by example as per usual. Although to be fair, Lynn as a team were shocking, both on paper and on track.:
Poole vs King's Lynn (EL) 02/09/15 @ 7:30pm
Poole Pirates = 62
1. Chris Holder - 3,1*,3,3 = 10+1 2. Davey Watt - 2*,3,3,2* = 10+2 PAID MAXIMUM 3. Dakota North - 1,0,2*,F/EX = 3+1 4. Kacper Gomolski - 3,3,3,2,2* = 13+1 5. Maciej Janowski - 3,2,3,2*,3 = 13+1 6. Paul Starke - 2,1,1,1 = 5 7. Kyle Newman - 1*,2*,2*,3 = 8+3
King's Lynn Stars = 30
1. Niels-Kristian Iversen - 1,4^,1,1,1 = 8 2. Nicklas Porsing - 0,2,1,0 = 3 3. Robert Lambert - 2,0,1,3 = 6 4. Richard Lawson (Guest) - 1,3,2,1,0 = 7 5. Kenneth Bjerre - 0,1*,0,0 = 1+1 6. Josh Bates (Guest) - 3,0,0,0 = 3 7. Ashley Morris - 0,0,0,2 = 2
speedwayupdates/poole-kings-lynn
The last time I went to Poole, which is probably the last time ever as Panthers will not be going back there:
1. Kenneth Bjerre - 2', 3, 3, 3, 3 = 14+1 - unexpectedly came to the party big time and was untouchable.

Great Britain starlet Robert Lambert is being tipped to become “a top rider in the sport” after agreeing a return to local club King’s Lynn.
Lambert has made huge progress since his debut with the Stars in 2014 and he impressed for the Lions at this summer’s Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup.
King’s Lynn’s 2016 plans suffered a hammer-blow with the news Danish champion Niels-Kristian Iversen won’t return. So keeping hold of 17-year-old Lambert was vital for the Stars as they bid for the Elite League play-offs.
Promoter Keith Chapman said: “There is no doubt that Robert has what it takes to be a top rider in the sport and we are delighted he is coming back to ride for us.
“He ended last season as our second highest averaged rider behind Niels and I am sure he will continue to progress even further next year.
“Robert is an entertainer and that’s what the supporters love to see every week. We want to have a team next year that will give the fans exciting action every week and he will play a part in that with his ruthless style and determination to win.”
Lambert has already agreed terms with Masarna in the Swedish Elitserien and Newcastle in the British Premier League.

Aussie international Troy Batchelor returns to first British club King’s Lynn for 2016, as Stars part company with reserve Lewis Kerr following a switch to Thursday nights.
Batch last raced for the Stars in 2005 and 2006, winning the Premier League, Knockout Cup and Premier Trophy treble in his final season, before joining the Elite League full-time with Poole. He has spent the past four seasons at Swindon, but the Norfolk-based racer has opted for a change for 2016.
Team manager Rob Lyon said: “Troy is, of course, no stranger to me or the club. I am delighted he will be coming back to us next season.
“He is an accomplished rider that will bring a lot to the team on and off the track. Troy is a character and I believe we need that. We missed a bit of personality in the team last year especially after Rory’s injury.
“On the track he has the ability to win meetings. Over the years as a visiting rider, he has been excellent and we want to see him winning plenty of races at the Adrian Flux Arena next year.”
King’s Lynn have announced a change of race night to Thursday for 2016, with club owner and BSPA chairman Buster Chapman pushing for set race nights in the top flight and hoping to avoid a clash with the Danish Speedway League on the club’s current Wednesday race night.
This has forced the Stars to release GB star Lewis Kerr, who has already agreed terms with Premier League club Ipswich as they also ride their home fixtures on a Thursday night.
Chapman explained: “For the long-term future of the club, we feel that switching race nights will be more beneficial for many reasons. The likelihood is that the Elite League will be pushed towards fixed-night racing and we want to be prepared for that possibility.
“We wish Lewis well and I am sure he will be picked up by another Elite League club soon. We need to look at the bigger picture and unfortunately that means losing Lewis for 2016. He has a lot of potential and I am sure he will be back with us in the future.
“We are now looking at all our options to sign a new reserve and hopefully we will be in a position to make an announcement soon.”

All they need to do now is sign Nicki Pedersen, that'd be really funny Speedway: Peterborough Panthers team manager Trevor Swales is to split up top stars Nicki Pedersen and Troy Batchelor by changing his riding order. It means Batchelor won’t line up alongside Pedersen in heat 13 - a key race involving both teams’ top dogs towards the end of a meeting. Swales is at pains to stress the switch is by no means a reflection on the performances of Batchelor who has been hugely impressive so far this season, but the move does come after the Aussie and Pedersen appeared to tangle in heat 13 of the club’s victory over Birmingham last time out. Batchelor ended up on the deck in the first turn and was excluded from the race, but it didn’t prove costly as Panthers still went on to win. "We have seen that Nicki and Troy haven’t looked like the most natural pairing in heat 13 and heat 15 so far. They are both hard first-turn riders and haven’t always looked for each other full text at peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/speedway/panthers-are-about-to-split-a-pair-of-aces - Tuesday 07 June 2011 - that stuffed our season!

Kings Lynn Vs Coventry (EL) 22/6/2016
I haven't been near Saddlebow Road since the last time we won there. I don't think that I've missed much. This was guff (despite Pearson banging on about the world's best riders in the EL). Considering they own the place it looks a right dump compared to the EoES.
Kings Lynn Stars = 41
1. Niels-Kristian Iversen - 2, 3, 2, 3, 2 = 12 2. Kai Huckenbeck - 0, 0, 0 = 0 3. Troy Batchelor - 0, 1, 2, 0 = 3 4. Robert Lambert - 3, 3, 3, 3, 0 = 12 5. Mads Korneliussen - 1, 1, 1', 0 = 3+1 6. Lewis Rose - 0, 1, 1', FX = 2+1 7. Simon Lambert - 2, 2', 2', 2, 1 = 9+2
Coventry Bees = 49
1. Krzysztof Kasprzak - 3, 0, 3, 2, 3 = 11 2. Jason Garrity R/R (JB - 1, DK - 3, JB - 0, KW - 0) 3. Daniel King - 3, 3, 2, 1, 1' = 10+1 4. James Sarjeant - 0, 0, 0 = 5. Chris Harris - 2', 2, 3, 1', 1 = 9+2 6. Kacper Woryna - 1, 2', 1, 0, 3 = 7+1 7. Josh Bates - 1, 3, 1, 0, 3, 2', 2 = 12+1

Would've been nice to have seen Holder in competetive opposition (ie level playing field) again, perhaps 6 fingers will get relegated. Problem being that Holder wouldn't come down with them:
King’s Lynn No.1 Chris Holder targeted a title charge with his new side after admitting he nearly joined the Stars 10 years ago.
The Sydneysider completed a loan switch to the Adrian Flux Arena after nine straight seasons with the Poole Pirates since 2008, which have seen him play a key role in the club reaching seven Elite League Grand Finals, winning the championship five times.
It’s a stellar record he’s keen to enhance at King’s Lynn, where he joins GB star Robert Lambert, Troy Batchelor, Nicklas Porsing, Kai Huckenbeck and Lewis Rose, with one rider still to be named.
Having feared he wouldn’t get an SGB Premiership spot due to his 12.53 average, which saw him released by Poole, Holder can’t wait to get started with the Stars – a club he nearly joined in 2007, when he opted to spend a second season with the Isle of Wight.
He told the club's official website: “I’m really excited about the whole thing. With the Poole thing not working out, it’s good to get an opportunity to keep racing in England.
“I think the fresh start could be pretty good for me. Obviously the new rules went against me at Poole, but I’m looking forward to riding for King’s Lynn and want to make sure it’s a good year.
“King’s Lynn is a place where I’ve done pretty well before, and I came quite close to signing for them in the Premier League in 2007. It’s a bit delayed but it’s nice to finally get a chance to race there, and I’m looking forward to the challenge.
“You always want to be riding for a club that can be competing at the top, so hopefully we can be in the running for the title.
“King’s Lynn have been there or thereabouts the last few years, but they’ve always had a lot of injuries so hopefully we can have some more luck this year. With the team that’s being talked about, we should have a strong side on paper so if we can transfer that on to the track we should do well.”

Good to see it's all good at 6 fingers Arena excerpts from BSF posts (one person's view, or perhaps more?): "You say management are approachable....not the issue. It's them that should be approaching the fans by way of better communication both in person and on social media. Their hearts might be in the right place but they have to show that not assume that the fans know it. This is especially so after the last few seasons of almost zero good PR (or any PR at times) and a now underperforming team. Fans should never be taken for granted and IMHO that's what's happening at present." oops, bad move: "They do a press conference after the meetings now, a good opportunity for fans to have their say, so those unhappy with Dale can tell him, rather than just spewing on here where he has no comeback..." and the old favourite: "How many of the crowd actually attend them tho. . Jonathan used to walk around the terraces most weeks and was always approachable even if folk didn't always like the answers. Waggy was always about after meetings. Cyril Crane and Maury Littlechild were always about. Fans appreciate one to one conversations far more than easily controlled after match press conferences, although I agree they are better than nothing, but kids with school next day probably miss out on them! No comeback on here....I'm pretty sure it was on the internet where I heard management refer to "keyboard warriors". There's nothing stopping any of the management replying to comments on here, even if they use an alias (members are pretty quick to work out who is who" Is this a 5 minute argument or the full 1/2 hour

I was at this meeting total farce. According to one close to the action the instigators were Chris Holder and Troy Batchelor.
Regarding no regard for spectators this seems common at most tracks once we are in and paid our money.

I wasn't there and, while I have little sympathy for Kings Lynn I feel this situation was similar to our meeting against Berwick a week or two back. Again, the track was grippier than usual but smooth and fast as a consequence, but, after Phil Morris came to grief the riders collectively decided the track was "dangerous", resulting in the dirt being bladed off to restore the slick conditions we are getting accustomed to.
I think it's a shame that "improved technology" seems to have resulted in turning out speedway machines which are plainly unsuitable for a dirt track! I have always maintained that the only time we have a home track advantage is when the track is deep and grippy, and maybe the KL promotion have reached a similar conclusion.
I think it's time that riders are reminded that speedway is meant to be run on a dirt track, and they and their machinery should be prepared accordingly.

Former world champion Chris Holder has been hit with a 28-day ban following King’s Lynn’s controversial clash with Poole at the Adrian Flux Arena last Thursday.
The suspension, which doesn’t stop him racing at the Adrian Flux British SGP in Cardiff on Saturday or in Sweden or Poland, comes after the Sydneysider allegedly refused to ride in two of his races in Stars’ 52-40 loss to the Pirates, with the home side reportedly unhappy over track conditions.
Holder retired from heat four, before breaching the two-minute time allowance for heats seven and 13. He picked up a second place in race 11 when he took a tactical ride.
The meeting also saw Aussie international Troy Batchelor withdraw after two rides with a wrist injury, although he guested for Swindon in place of Jason Doyle the following evening.
GB star Robert Lambert and German racer Kai Huckenbeck also failed to make the two-minute time allowance for heat nine, after which the meeting was delayed while extensive track work took place.
In a statement last Friday, angry Stars promoter Keith Chapman hit out at his riders for their reluctance to race as fans fumed over a farcical night.
He said: “I have put my heart and soul into this club and I take things like this personally. I am as angry and frustrated as every supporter. However, I must offer our apologies because the paying public are the lifeblood of the sport. I spoke to many fans last night and apologised to them all.
“I was extremely disappointed with the attitude of certain riders. When you looked at the Poole guys, they were out there ready to race.
“The race times were reasonable but clearly some riders didn’t fancy it and there was no thought for the fans.
“I agree rider safety has to be paramount, but when the Poole riders have no problem, I have to question the attitude of certain riders in my team.”
SpeedwayGP was unable to reach Chris Holder for comment.
