My wife asked me this morning if I had seen the dog bowl. I said no. I didn't even know he could play cricket. 😊

Man telling his neighbour, "I've just bought a new hearing aid. Cost me £2000, but it's state of the art, it's perfect!" "Really" asks his neighbour, "what kind is it?" "12.30." Dad jokes.

Saw the worst mind reader ever last night..
Mind reader: "Think of a card, any card." Me: "OK" Mind reader: "Visualize it in your mind." Me: "OK" Mind reader: "Is it the Nine of Clubs?" Me: "No" Mind reader: "Ace of spades?" Me: "No" Mind reader: "What is it then?"
Me: "Happy Birthday"... 😆

Had seen both the Awards clips before. Thought Gervais fell a bit flat with that type of audience - they find the English humour difficult. Or maybe the truth hurts. As for Roman Atkinson, what an absolute comedy genius.

That's one of the better mistakes to make as opposed to e-mailing your mate to say what a dick head your boss is whilst missing that the boss had been copied in to the conservation in error

They mistakenly sent it to the whole department, ouch! Didn’t last very long.

The best thing is not to slag off anyone close to you, whether work or personal, especially in today's world where anything can be around the world in seconds and you've totally lost control.

Absolutely. I’ve always believed, especially in the work place, you never know when you might need someone.

Absolutely. I’ve always believed, especially in the work place, you never know when you might need someone. True. And it's more of a case these days that one person's banter is another's offence. If you say it to the wrong person and they officially complain then you really are stuffed. Wokeness, diversity & inclusion, pronouns & so called outdated language that suddenly offends some loud minority was really doing my head in. I'm well out of it now thankfully. And this is the light hearted thread - catch this kids before it gets cancelled by the humourless who don't get comedy & only see offence everywhere

!!WARNING!! STAY AWAY FROM BOURNEMOUTH OVER THE WEEKEND! Witnessed totally disgusting behaviour on the beach there yesterday. A man and woman arguing in front of a load of kids then she smacked him one on the head and it all kicked off between them, the police turned up and the policeman ended up using his baton on the bloke but the man actually managed to get the baton off the copper and started hitting the copper and the woman with it. Then a crocodile turned up and stole all the sausages. Dad Jokes

Trump on windmills A former President he’s a stand up comic. Unpredictable nutter perhaps but not wrong on this. Ugly, environmentally damaging and they do kill birds. Also heard, can't confirm, that bats are a particular victims of these monstrosities because they disrupt the sound waves that bats navigate by? Also, would Ukraine be happening if the orange man was POTUS? There was a story on the radio yesterday about when Putin was threatening something & Trump allegedly said that if Putin did that then he'd take out Moscow. Now the reality was probably that Trump wouldn't but Putin couldn't take the risk as you can't read the man? I have no particular view on Trump but he does live on my side of the fence on woke and climate change particularly. If the Extincion Rebellion nutters and their offshoots want to do something worthwhile then protest about pollution (plastics & other toxic dumping in to seas/waterways) and protest outside the Chinese Embassy.

If the Extincion Rebellion nutters and their offshoots want to do something worthwhile then protest about pollution (plastics & other toxic dumping in to seas/waterways) and protest outside the Chinese Embassy. When Trump first came to power I was gobsmacked he won and seriously concerned. He always reminded me of that mad power crazed man with his finger on the button we see in movies. However, like Boris he didn’t have much competition. For sure he often made embarrassing comments / speeches before engaging brain. What I did like about Don was he did what he said he would and take no rubbish. This made other powers nervous and prepared to talk. Windmills are certainly an eyesore on the countryside and sea fronts, they are also very noisy. Regarding wildlife, I don’t know but what I do know is they are nowhere near as efficient as they expected. Trumps woke stance was very simple and straightforward, as most of us would probably agree, it’s gone way too far too fast. As I’ve said before a straight, white, male are now disadvantaged - but most are too afraid to challenge. My view has always been the best fit for the job, irrelevant of… PS - thought you’d posted on the ‘smile for today’ thread for comical reasons.
