Yesterday we met up with some old friends from our days in Norwich. All moved about now. One of our group lives now in Stowmarket and has a boat, so suggested we meet at Suffolk Yacht Marina sail up River Orwell for lunch at a Pub" Butt and Oyster" at a place called Pin Mill, then sail back. Unfortunately when lunch finished the tide had gone out and boat stranded, all had to get Taxis back to the Yacht Marina.

As track grading seems to be part of the entertainment package these days, rumour is that the BSPA are looking for suggestions to introduce a racing element to the boredom of tractor racing? I've found one Lost in history@lostinhist0ryPenny farthing race in 1928. |
